Southern Alberta Child & Youth Health Network

Regional Groups

The Southern Alberta Child & Youth Health Network (SACYHN) includes four geographic areas, each with a variety of child-serving sectors that deliver services related to the health and well being of children and youth.

Within each area, a SACYHN regional group links child and youth serving organizations through participation of their leaders and decision makers. Members identify and act on shared priorities that support the vision and mission of SACYHN.

These regional groups:

•	engage partners across child serving sectors in each area
•	integrate regional priorities with those of the SACYHN Steering Committee
•	extend the impact of SACYHN’s partners' initiatives across Southern Alberta
•	contribute to a more seamless system of care for children and youth

Network Coordinators / Key Contacts

In addition to regional groups, each area has a SACYHN coordinator who is the primary contact for the area and works to:

•	promote the collective work of SACYHN and facilitate implementation of SACYHN’s overarching activities in that area
•	develop and enhance linkages among child and youth serving agencies and organizations within the area
•	facilitate parent and youth involvement in SACYHN and its related activities
•	coordinate and implement the initiatives and activities arising from the regional groups
•	act as a central point of contact regarding the regional group and for SACYHN on behalf of the area
